Structure

Content

Rugby
The English Rugby Football Union has undertaken a review of practice and produced a strategy for development within the professional national game (The Way Forward Discussion Document, 2007). The document highlights the "critical" need for change in order to maintain and further enhance the standing of English rugby on the world stage by strengthening its support structures.

The Rugby pathway of the FdSc Sport Performance programme seeks to support the RFU review by training students with the skills needed to take the RFU's recommendations forward.

Football
In the UK it is estimated that there are 3.5 million players (professional, semi-professional and amateur) and officials involved in football. The English Football Association (EFA) set very high standards and expect everyone that works in the game to have a well developed understanding of the pure sport sciences as well as the art and science of football.

The Football pathway of the FdSc Sport Performance programme seeks to support the EFA campaign by providing you with the opportunity to study the pure sport sciences whilst gaining an in-depth understanding of the changing nature of the football industry.
