Introduction

The Spatial Planning courses are being developed with support from the UK Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. The course will give existing planning practitioners additional knowledge and skills so that they are better equipped to practise spatial planning and contribute to the Government's Creating Sustainable Communities agenda.

Special Features

Professional accreditation

This course is accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) as a Specialist Masters course - if you have already completed an RTPI accredited Honours degree course then the MA Spatial Planning will give you the academic qualifications required for professional membership of the RTPI.

We welcome applications from students without the conventional entrance requirements but who do have substantial relevant work or other experience and whose motivation and skills would enable them to succeed on the course.

  • Laboratory work involving observations and physical manipulation
  • Take part in discussions and presentations
