Introduction

As a Director we know that your time is valuable and that you, and your workforce are the biggest assets to your company.

In response to a recent research project into SME barriers to growth, we have developed a short, tailored and highly practical professional training programme for you, based around five single day workshops, spread over six months.

Hot topics identified include:

  • Strategic planning
  • How to achieve sustainable growth
  • Access to finance
  • Managing change
  • Effectively dealing with conflict
  • Succession planning
  • New media and more productive routes to market.

Each session is led by an established commercial practitioner and an academic with research expertise in the field.  Following a pre-course diagnostic session to confirm some of your own challenges, you will practically look at key areas of business with the objective of gaining the competitive edge.

This professional short course will give you an opportunity to network with fellow Directors from different sectors, share best-practice and tackle some of the major challenges that you currently face.  We guarantee that taking this time out from the day-to-day running of your company will be worth it - you will be able to apply the learning as soon as you step back into your organisation.

You will develop practical skills and knowledge that you can apply to projects within your company.  In between the sessions, you will have access to advice and guidance from our business practitioners and academic staff, to help you, as you start to embed new approaches or ways of working into your company culture.

You will have the opportunity to attend the well-known Distinguised Address series and a 1:1 session to debrief, gain feedback and agree some further actions regarding your own professional executive development.
