BSc(Hons) Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at UWE Bristol is a direct-entry final year course building on your previous computing studies and focusing on practical data science and AI skills with emphasis on ethical practice and industry-ready capabilities.

Learning and Teaching
Experience diverse teaching methods including practical workshops, studio sessions, and project-based learning.
You'll engage in hands-on implementation using industry-standard tools, participate in team-based research projects, and develop solutions for real-world problems.

Study time
This is a full-time course and you'll attend scheduled classes while engaging in independent study and project work. You'll also be required to spend additional time on self-directed learning, applying theory to practice, and preparing for assessments.
Assessment
You'll be assessed by technical implementations, project work, presentations, and written reports. You'll be evaluated on both your technical competency and professional capabilities through practical demonstrations, project documentation, and research-based assessments.
You'll be assessed at regular stages throughout the year, with regular formative feedback to support you to develop.

Funding
Your overall entitlement to funding is based on how long the course is that you're registered on. Standard funding is allocated based on the standard number of years that your course lasts, plus one additional year.

Typical offers
You will need to meet the following Level 2 requirements:
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
In addition to the above Level 2 qualifications, you'll need to achieve the published tariff points from your Level 3 studies prior to entry. Below is an indicative list of the main qualification types. However, we will consider any Level 3 qualifications towards meeting our entry requirements.

- English Language Requirement:
International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no component below 5.5 OR overall score of 6.0 with no more than one component at 5.5 (or approved equivalent*).

Entry requirements
In addition to the above Level 2 qualifications, applicants are required to have a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Foundation Degree in Computer Studies, Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent, with an average of two thirds Merits in the final year.
