Top up your existing qualifications to an honour’s degree. This final-year equivalent course is aimed at those with a relevant qualification (e.g., HND).
This one-year BA(Hons) Business Management with Accounting and Finance top-up course combines specialist accredited modules in Accounting and Finance with a solid grounding in business. On successful completion you will be awarded a full BA(Hons) degree.
Taught by leading experts, you'll develop crucial accounting skills and explore the fundamentals of global business from an operational to strategic level.
You'll be part of a supportive, well-connected school, with access to industry through guest speakers, real-life case studies with companies like PwC, KPMG, Sunlife, Lloyds Banking Group and Hargreaves Lansdown.
This course is designed to meet the needs of employers. Students graduate with valuable knowledge and experience of business environments that help them thrive in a competitive job market.
Our graduates go on to careers in finance, management, accountancy, marketing and human resources in both private and public sector organisations. Many progress to Master's level courses in areas such as financial management, marketing, human resource management and economics. Others gain professional qualifications alongside work, such as accountancy professional body qualifications like ACCA and CIMA.

Our approach to learning is student-focused, with emphasis on helping you find things out for yourself.
Lectures, workshops/seminars, tutorials and group work make up 12 hours of contact time each week and you'll spend at least as much time again studying independently.
This can involve preparing for classes, reviewing lectures, online working, reading, conducting research, preparing assessed work and revising for exams.
You'll develop your communication and presentation skills and IT and numeracy skills, with a strong focus on data interpretation and analysis. Your improved problem solving, critical thinking, analysis, evaluation and innovation skills will help you stand out as a graduate.
You'll be expected to apply theory to practice, so you can appreciate the relevance and application of the concepts you learn.

You'll be assessed through a mix of coursework and examinations to assess what you know and can do and help you develop the confidence and skills that employers value.
You'll complete essays and reports, business plans and applied research projects, portfolios and weekly notes, and assessed group and individual presentations and posters. You'll also reflect and comment on your own learning and personal development.

Additional costs are for items you could need during your studies that aren't covered by the standard tuition fee. These could be materials, textbooks, travel, clothing, software or printing.
International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no component under 5.5 (or approved equivalent*).
*The university accepts a large number of UK and International Qualifications in place of IELTS.

You should hold an HND or Foundation Degree (or equivalent), or have successfully completed a course which is equivalent to the first two years of a UK honours degree (240 UK credit points (120 ECTS credits)) in an Accounting and Finance discipline.
