If you're passionate about helping young children thrive, this apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to turn that passion into a rewarding career while continuing to work and earn. Designed for early years practitioners, the Early Years Teacher Degree Apprenticeship combines workplace learning with university study, helping you develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to become an effective early years teacher.

You'll gain a Level 6 degree and achieve Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), giving you a recognised professional qualification and opening up opportunities for career progression.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll explore children's learning and development, inclusive practice, safeguarding, leadership and the early years curriculum, all with a focus on helping children flourish socially, emotionally and educationally.

By studying while you work, you'll be able to apply what you learn directly in your setting, making a real difference to the children, families and communities you support.

You'll benefit from a combination of academic expertise, practical application and dedicated support from both UWE Bristol tutors and workplace mentors throughout your learning journey.

Benefits to your employer

By supporting your apprenticeship, your employer is investing in your development as a skilled, qualified early years practitioner. You'll remain in paid employment throughout, applying your learning directly in your setting and helping to deliver high-quality outcomes for children and families.
