The growth of international business in a fast-moving, complex global economy has created a demand for graduates with knowledge of global markets and management and the challenges of conducting business across borders. The BA(Hons) International Business Management is, therefore, an ideal degree for those with an interest in working internationally and/or in an organisation that operates globally.

This applied degree, taught by experienced academics, provides a solid grounding in the fundamentals of business management with a focus on the international dimensions of business.
You will explore international business theory and practice through a broad range of modules spanning international management, economics, finance and marketing. Key themes of global citizenship run throughout the course, preparing you for work in diverse environments whilst developing your awareness of the ways people do business across the world and the challenges and issues they face.
Your learning will be grounded in the external context wherever appropriate through, for example, external speakers and assessments that give you opportunities to test out concepts in practice and to reflect on your own experience of organisations.

National Economics University (NEU) students enter directly onto Level 3 of the BA(Hons) International Business Management. Students at National Economics University must study either the Critical Business Enquiry Project or Applied Business Project.
The course is taught through a blend of learning activities - some tutor-led and face-to-face, some student-led and independent, some online, some in groups and some which require students to support each other's learning.

Lectures, workshops/seminars, group project working and tutoring account for 12 hours of contact per week.
However you will be expected to spend significant additional time outside of classes in essential independent study, for example, in preparing for workshops/seminars, reviewing lectures, online working through the university's 'virtual learning environment', reading, conducting research, preparing assessed work and revising for end of module exams.
Our learning and teaching approaches are student focused with the emphasis on helping you to actively find out things for yourself.
You will be expected to work with a mix of theory and practice, balancing academic rigour and a practical approach to your work, so that you can appreciate the relevance and application of concepts learnt.
You will be assessed through a mix of coursework and examinations, all of which aim to assess not only what you know and can do but also develop the graduate attributes that are valued by employers. These attributes include communication and presentation skills, IT and numeracy skills, team work, project and time management skills as well as the intellectual skills of problem solving, critical thinking, analysis and evaluation, creativity and innovation.
Coursework comes in many different forms: essays and reports; business plans and applied research projects; portfolios and weekly notes; assessed group and individual presentations and posters.
You will also be required to reflect and comment on your own learning and personal development.

For National Economics University students, satisfactory completion of the two year BTEC HND at NEU in addition to the equivalent of IELTS with 6.0 in all components or an overall band score of 6.5 or above (including achievement of the TEG International College Level 4 English test) for direct entry into the final year of this course.
