This course can count towards one of our postgraduate qualifications within our Information Management Awards.
Aimed at current and aspiring managers, this module seeks to develop students' communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to developing their reflective practice and ability to identify personal development needs. At the organisational level, the module equips each student to manage change, lead teams and implement workplace projects.
Participants are expected to have a first degree at 2.2 level or above (or equivalent,) or alternatively have industrial experience.

The focus of this module is on management processes within information or library services. We strongly recommend that you speak to the course tutor prior to the course if you are unsure about your suitability to join the course or complete the assessment.
This module can be taken as a standalone module, or used to build up credit towards a named postgraduate qualification (PG Certificate, PG Diploma or Masters) within our Information Management award.
This module will cover the following topic areas:
The module is delivered through weekly sessions, which take place on consecutive weeks.
Scheduled learning is via lectures and discussion time with module tutor and guest lecturers. Supported by teaching materials on the VLE, with associated web discussion groups, collaborative learning tasks and assignment tutorials.
Tutor also available by appointment and email.
