ECG Reporting: (Day 1)

You will be taught a standardised approach to interpreting every ECG which doubles as a framework for reporting. The course aims to deliver the core skills necessary to create salient 12 lead ECG reports.

The IPEM ECG Workshop is an intensive one day training scheme aimed specifically at technologists, radiographers and nuclear medicine practitioners. You will be taught a standardised approach to interpreting every ECG which doubles as a framework for reporting. The course aims to deliver the core skills necessary to create salient twelve lead ECG reports.

It consists of an essential pre workshop workout with additional suggested pre course reading. The day consists of informal interactive lectures covering rate, rhythm, axis, conduction, ST and T morphologies.

Post-course, an extensive workbook is provided for revision with 100 further full size 12 lead ECGs and tests and hone your new skills.

It will be delivered by Mark McDade, an advanced specialist Clinical Technologist who is also a registered Clinical Physiologist (RCCP). Mark has extensive experience in Nuclear Cardiology and while being ALS+ has a background in delivering ILS training.

Stress leaders workshop (Day 2)

The IPEM Stress Leaders Workshop is an intensive one day training scheme aimed specifically at Technologists, Radiographers and the Nuclear Medicine Practitioner. You will be taught a standardised approach to interpreting every Exercise Tolerance Test (ETT) which doubles as a framework for reporting. The course aims to deliver the core skills necessary to safely engage in stress testing and create ETT reports.

This course naturally follows on the IPEM ECG Workshop which covers: Rate, Rhythm, Axis, Conduction, ST and T morphologies and salient 12 lead report writing. Practitioners who have not completed this course should have equivalent 12 lead ECG interpretation and report writing skills.

There is a significant pre-course reading commitment. The day consists of informal interactive lectures covering: stress testing (physiological and pharmacological), clinical examination, effects of common therapy on stress, stress test ECG reporting, anticipating emergencies, including walk-through cases.

Post-course, an extensive workbook is provided for revision with further ECGs, ETTs and cases to test and hone your new skills. including 50 further full size 12 lead ETTs and a further 10 cases to shape your reporting and decision making skills. The post course material concludes with a guide to achieving and maintaining competence in stress testing.

The one day course will be delivered by Mark McDade, an advanced specialist Clinical Technologist who is also a registered Clinical Physiologist (RCCP). Mark has extensive experience in Nuclear Cardiology and while being ALS+ has a background in delivering ILS training.
