Introduction

Join the UWE Bristol Gospel Choir for an intensive but fun day of learning under the expert tuition of Kim Samuels and pianist, Philip Barclay. No prior experience is required except a love of singing and a desire to find out more about Gospel. The day will run from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Centre for Music, UWE Bristol Frenchay Campus.  

Entry requirements

Reading music is not a pre-requisite as songs are taught by ear.

This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • explore Gospel Music, a musical form that is accessible to people from all backgrounds and which has a positive effect on many levels.
  • build your confidence, community, encouragement, health and faith.

You should come anticipating a fun, friendly and uplifting atmosphere where songs are sung, hearts are moved, and friendships formed. 

Reading music is not a pre-requisite as songs are taught by ear. Expect to be inspired and encouraged as we experience the joy of singing contemporary gospel in 3-part harmony.  

Comfortable clothing recommended.
