Introduction

This practical one day programme aims to give you practical knowledge and ability to recognise neurodiversity in the workplace. The training enables participants an understanding of how neurodiverse conditions (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Autism, ADHD) affect people in the workplace, and successful strategies to work with people from a strengths-based approach.   It will equip you with a range of options and methods to utilise in ensuring everyone feels heard and included at work.

This programme is designed for individuals, both management and non-management professionals from any industry sector, who work with people who are neurodivergent.

The programme will cover topics including:

  • What is Neurodiversity?
  • What are the dimensions of Neurodiversity 
  • Neurodiversity and mental health 
  • How to make reasonable adjustments
  • Strengths based collaboration

By the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • Assess needs of colleagues and access the right professional support 
  • Do a training requirements audit  of staff, managers and leader on Neurodiversity awareness 
  • Plan the implementation of awareness raising, training and workplace needs assessments 
  • Communicate the benefits of 
  • Design and implement an organisation wide ND policy and strategy 
  • Use workplace feedback to identify areas for improvement
