You will need to meet the following Level 2 requirements:
- GCSE: Grade C/4 in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
In addition to the above Level 2 qualifications, you'll need to achieve the published tariff points from your Level 3 studies prior to entry. Below is an indicative list of the main qualification types. However, we will consider any Level 3 qualifications towards meeting our entry requirements.

International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*).

- EDEXCEL (BTEC) Diploma: No specific subjects required.

Entry requirements
If you exceed the entry requirements you may be eligible for our BA(Hons) Business Enterprise.
International applicants
If you are an international student your recommended route of study for this degree is through our International College, which upon successful completion to the required level and with good attendance, guarantees entry to Year one of the degree.

Content
The optional modules listed are those that are most likely to be available, but they may be subject to change.
You normally need to pass your foundation year before going onto Year one.
Year zero (foundation Year)
You'll study:
- Foundations in Professional and Personal Development Planning
- Foundational Concepts in Business and Law.
Year one
You'll study:
- Business and Economic Environments
- Entrepreneurial Decision Making
- Principles of Marketing
- Professional Knowledge: Becoming Enterprising
- Using Financial Information for Business.
Year two
You'll study:
- Understanding and Engaging Stakeholders Through Enterprise
- Professional Skills: Exploring Enterprising Specialisation
- Strategy, Innovation, and Operations
- Entrepreneurship Thought and Action
- Applied Human Resource Management.
Sandwich year (if applicable)
If you study on the five year (sandwich) course, you'll spend a year away from the University on either a work placement or a study year abroad after Year two. Depending on which you choose, you'll either complete a placement learning or learning and development on Study Year Abroad module, as appropriate.

Final year
You'll study:

- Coaching and Mentoring in Organisations
- Professional Development: Consolidating Enterprising Identity.
Plus, one optional module from:

- Work Based Learning.
*Neither of these modules will be available to study, if you complete the sandwich placement or study year abroad.

Learning and Teaching

Throughout the course, you'll engage with case studies, live briefs, client projects and industry examples that reflect real organisational challenges, helping you to apply your work in realistic organisational contexts.
A professional development strand runs throughout the course, encouraging you to reflect on your learning and consider how it applies to your future career. Supported by personal tutors, you'll build an employability portfolio that demonstrates your skills, experiences and professional development.

Our assessments are designed to help you develop professional skills while demonstrating your understanding of key concepts and theories.
You'll complete a range of assessment types, including reports, presentations, portfolios, group work, posters, videos and podcasts. The course places limited emphasis on traditional exams, using a varied assessment approach that reflects the range of communication and analytical skills required in professional environments.
Through client-focused and applied assessments, you'll have opportunities to explore business challenges, evaluate opportunities for innovation and communicate your ideas effectively.
